Outdoor recreation is popular in this area with places such as Glen Falls Trail, Sunset Rock, Lula Lake and Bluff Trail. Adventure enthusiasts can try hang gliding at Lookout Mountain Flight Park. Cloudland Canyon is a State Park located on Lookout Mountain where many enjoy hiking and biking.

Ruby Falls and Rock City are two main attractions located on Lookout Mountain. Lovers Leap is located close to Rock City and allows views of seven states. The Incline takes visitors to the top of Lookout Mountain on a century-old rail system. Many festivals are held throughout the year at both Rock City and Ruby Falls.
Schools
Three elementary schools are located on Lookout Mountain including Lookout Mountain Elementary School, Fairylan Elementary School and Lookout Valley Elementary School. Lookout Valley Middle/High School is also an option. Covenant College is located on Lookout Mountain which is a Christian liberal arts school offering undergraduate and graduate programs.
